My job focuses on the management and administration of European-funded research projects in the field of innovation, technology, and sustainability. It involves coordinating teams, monitoring progress, preparing technical and financial reports, and ensuring compliance with EU funding requirements. This role is closely linked to STEM as it supports research and technological development initiatives across Europe.

What Inspired You

I have always been fascinated by how research and technology can solve real-world problems. Working alongside researchers and engineers motivated me to pursue a career where I could contribute to the success of innovative STEM projects through effective management and coordination.

A typical day includes communicating with project partners, organizing meetings, monitoring deliverables, preparing reports for the European Commission, and managing project finances. I also contribute to the dissemination of project results through publications, workshops, and events.

Study & Career Path

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Thessaly. I started my career as an assistant accountant and later joined the Research Committee of the University of Thessaly, where I began managing European research projects. This experience helped me develop skills in project management, reporting, and financial coordination. If I could start over, I would pursue additional studies in project management or European policy to further strengthen my expertise.
