In June 2025, the DS2 project submitted three groundbreaking innovations to the European Commission’s Innovation Radar programme. These submissions highlight the project's commitment to advancing data interoperability and AI-driven collaboration across digital ecosystems.
The first innovation introduces DS2 as a dataspace interoperability environment, designed to facilitate efficient and widespread data sharing. This initiative, backed by a consortium including ICE, and i4RI as DS2 operators and VTT, DIGI, IBM, ATC, SWAG, and INTU, as DS2 module owners aims to break down silos and empower organizations to exchange data seamlessly.
The second innovation gives natural language access to data sets through a novel machine learning approach. Owned by IBM, this technology promises to make data exploration more intuitive and accessible, even for non-technical users.
The last innovation, is an intuitive AI-driven agent developed by ATC, tailored for the DS2 dataspace. This agent streamlines the discovery, assessment, recommendation, and configuration of software modules, fostering smarter collaboration and seamless interoperability. The Innovation Radar platform will soon be updated and reveal insights into the Market Maturity and Market Creation Potential of these innovations. Stay tuned for updates that could reshape the future of digital data ecosystems across Europe.
